GIS Services and MAP2PDF

GIS Services will have a table set up at the NEMO Conference next week in NYC to answer questions on MAP2PDF.

MAP2PDF provides a means for distributing GIS data to non-GIS users by leveraging the popular Adobe® Acrobat® PDF with a portable mapping format (GeoPDF) to create and publish layered Georegistered maps.

By exporting the data to a GeoPDF GIS professionals can distribute GeoPDFs to non-GIS users who utilize Adobe Reader® enabling them to:

view maps;
turn layers on and off;
query attributes;
display coordinates; and
create redlines and notes.

Notes and redlining can be distributed for review and/or incorporated back into the master GIS database, all without the need for non-GIS users to have GIS applications, databases, or any knowledge of how they work.

Anyone who is interested can request an evaluation copy by contacting Bill Timmins at info@gisservices.net .
